Ariana Crumpler will compete in the discus for the NCHSAA 3A state championship on Friday, May 17th in Greensboro. Crumpler qualified by placing 2nd with a throw of 117′ 0″ in the East Region Championship held at Franklinton HS this past weekend. The top 4 individuals in each event at the regional advanced to the championship meet. Conley placed 17th out of 28 schools in the region.

In addition to scoring in the discus, Crumpler placed 8th in the shot put with a throw of 31’9″. Also scoring in the meet for Conley was the 4x800m relay team of Hayley Ferrell, Annika Stoakes, Eve Curtis and Emma Cole as they finished 5th with season best time of 10:33.4.

Also competing, but not scoring were Cole in the 800 (12th, 2:43) and 1600 (10th, 6:05), Ferrell in the 800 (11th, 2:37), Stoakes in the 800 (14th, 2:48), Riviera Bennett in the 100 hurdles (14th, 18.33), Kate Lysaight in the long jump (10th, 15’5″), Briana Dempsey in the discus (14th, 70’7″)and the 4x100m relay team of Dempsey, Lysaight, Nadiah Randolph and Hadlee Hadsall (14th, 53.75).
