Conley boys placed 8th out of 24 schools in the NCHSAA 3A cross country championships on Saturday in Kernersville. It was Conley’s best finish in over 20 years. The Vikings used a tight pack to score the high finish, with their top 5 runners finishing within 33 seconds of each other.
Peyton Walters (38th, 17:00), AJ Miller (43rd, 17:10), Owen Thorndike (55th, 17:18), Seth McKinney (69th, 17:29) and Jalen Wilson (78th, 17:33) scored for Conley. Eli Orians (94th, 17:49) and Toby Bryson (107th, 17:57) also finished under 18 minutes on the 5k course. 194 runners completed the race.
