Despite Strong Fight, D.H. Conley Vikings Freshmen Can’t Top J.H. Rose

D.H. Conley Vikings Freshmen’s effort to come back from down four runs in the third inning came up just short, as they fell 5-4 to J.H. Rose on Friday. D.H. Conley Vikings Freshmen put up four runs in the failed comeback. Grant Morton, Garrett McCoy, and Coleman Dunlow all picked up RBIs in the rally.
D.H. Conley Vikings Freshmen were right in it but were unable to answer a J.H. Rose run in the eighth inning.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, D.H. Conley Vikings Freshmen tied things up at four when Dunlow singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.
D.H. Conley Vikings Freshmen notched three runs in the seventh inning. D.H. Conley Vikings Freshmen put the pressure on, lead by a single by Dunlow and a double by McCoy.
May led things off on the hill for J.H. Rose. He lasted six innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out six.
Evan McLean led things off on the hill for D.H. Conley Vikings Freshmen. He surrendered four runs on five hits over five innings, striking out six and walking zero. Justin McDonald threw three innings out of the bullpen.

J.H. Rose saw the ball well today, racking up seven hits in the game. L Watson and Sadler each racked up multiple hits for J.H. Rose.
