The NCHSAA announced on Tuesday the competitors for 3A East Regional Championships to be held in Frankinton on Saturday, May 11th.
The top 16 competitors per event in the East qualify to compete, and the top four from each event will advance to the NCHSAA 3A State Championship to be held Friday, May 17th in Greensboro. The 3A East region is the largest in the state and is considered one of the toughest to qualify for due to the depth of field in each event.
For Conley the following athletes qualified and seeded in the following events:
-John Anderson, SR: 3200m (15th)
-Nathan Geyer, FR: 1600m (10th)
-Coleman Ferrell, SR: 400m (11th)
-Brock Lasure, SO: Discus (14th)
-Seth McKinney, SO: 1600m (7th), 3200m (6th)
-Eli Orians, SR: 800m (11th)
-Zach Tucker, SR: 800m (4th)
-Peyton Walters, JR: 1600m (4th), 3200m (3rd)
-Jalen Wilson, JR: 800m (6th)
In addition, the 4x800m relay team of Orians, Wilson, Tucker and AJ Miller qualified as the #2 team going into the meet.
